May 16, 2008 – The Guaranty Bank Team joined in the Relay for Life held at Huntington High School. Our team raised $2,000 for the American Cancer Society!
April 5 – May 17, 2008 – Twenty-two Guaranty Bank employees participated in the Cabell-Huntington Health Department’s Walkitup Campaign for six weeks and improved their health by walking. Portia Ball at the Hamlin Office won an extra vacation day for walking a total of 2,670 minutes and Amanda Taylor at the Main Office won an extra half day of vacation for walking 2,380 minutes.
April 29, 2008 – Cheri McKay and Mikal Ely made their third annual visit to the Village of Barboursville Elementary School. Over 120 kindergarten students learned about saving money through song and games.
May 6, 2008 - Victoria Ballengee joined forces with fellow advisory board member Fay Bailey of First Bank of Charleston and took the program to the Salvation Army’s Boys & Girls Club in Charleston. All children received piggy banks as they were encouraged to begin a life long habit of saving.
March 28, 2008 – Eight local businesses and organizations participated in “Check My Bag” to support Dress for Success and help job-ready women become financially independent. The employees of Guaranty Bank were recognized for collecting the most handbags.
Marcy 24, 2008 – Guaranty Bank celebrated with refreshments and prizes for the customers that have contributed to our success.
